Our Fertility Treatments

IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)

Processed sperm are directly placed into the uterine cavity around the time of ovulation. A less invasive, lower-cost option suitable for mild male factor infertility, unexplained infertility, and cervical factors. Success rate: 15–20% per cycle.

IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation)

Eggs are retrieved from the ovaries, fertilised with sperm in the lab, and embryos are transferred to the uterus. Divine Health IVF success rates for women under 35: up to 55% per cycle with fresh embryos.

ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection)

A single sperm is injected directly into each egg — ideal for severe male factor infertility. Used in virtually all IVF cycles at Divine Health.

Egg Freezing (Oocyte Cryopreservation)

Eggs are retrieved and frozen for future use. Ideal for women wishing to preserve fertility before chemotherapy, surgery, or for social reasons.

Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions — Fertility Treatments

Clear answers to your questions about fertility treatments

At what age should I see a fertility specialist? +
Couples under 35 should seek evaluation after 12 months of unprotected intercourse; couples 35 and older after 6 months. Women with known conditions like PCOS, endometriosis, or irregular periods should seek evaluation sooner.
What is the success rate of IVF? +
IVF success rates vary by age and diagnosis. At Divine Health, clinical pregnancy rates per fresh embryo transfer are approximately 55% for women under 35, 45% for ages 35–37, 35% for ages 38–40, and 20–25% for women over 40. Cumulative success rates over multiple cycles are higher.
How many IVF cycles will I need? +
Most pregnancies occur within 3 IVF cycles. Our fertility team reviews your response to stimulation after each cycle and adjusts the protocol. Many patients achieve success in cycle 1 or 2.
Is IVF painful? +
Ovarian stimulation involves daily self-administered injections for 10–12 days — most women find these manageable. Egg retrieval is performed under sedation, so there is no pain during the procedure. Mild cramping and bloating after retrieval are normal.
What is ICSI and when is it needed? +
ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection) involves injecting a single sperm directly into an egg. It is used for severe male infertility (low count, poor motility), previous failed fertilisation in conventional IVF, and when using surgically retrieved sperm.
Can PCOS affect fertility? +
Yes. PCOS is the most common cause of anovulatory infertility. It causes irregular or absent ovulation. Treatment with ovulation induction medications, lifestyle changes, and if needed, IUI or IVF leads to successful pregnancy in the vast majority of women with PCOS.
What is the difference between IUI and IVF? +
IUI places processed sperm into the uterus, allowing natural fertilisation inside the body. IVF fertilises eggs outside the body in a laboratory. IUI is less invasive and less expensive but has lower success rates. IVF is more effective for severe infertility issues.
Does stress affect fertility treatment outcomes? +
While stress does not directly prevent pregnancy, it affects patient wellbeing and compliance with treatment. We offer integrated psychological support and counselling as part of our fertility program.
Is fertility treatment covered by insurance? +
Fertility coverage varies by insurance plan. Some plans cover diagnostic tests and medically indicated procedures. Our insurance team will review your policy and guide you on coverage before starting treatment.
What lifestyle changes improve fertility? +
Maintain a healthy BMI, quit smoking and alcohol, eat a balanced diet, reduce caffeine, manage stress, and treat underlying conditions. For men, avoiding hot baths, tight underwear, and laptop heat near the groin helps protect sperm quality.
